Winery
Immersed in the Cesena hills, embedded within the land like a precious jewel to be preserved: the new private winery requested by the client must be one with the land from which the grapes and vines that make Sangiovese great in Romagna arise. These are the cornerstones of the project masterplan, on which the preliminary study of this large plan is still underway, supported by a pool of experts in business development and oenology.
The winery is configured as an underground structure, entirely embedded in the terrain, according to a design logic that combines environmental sustainability, respect for the microclimate, and passive control of thermo-hygrometric conditions. Only two large horizontal glass walls emerge from the hill, as thin slits allowing light and air to enter while preserving the thermal integrity of the spaces dedicated to wine aging, particularly the barrel room.
The architectural path develops along sinuous and soft lines, guiding the visitor from the entrance courtyard to the internal spaces. The iconic heart of the project is a monumental helical staircase, inspired by the spiral movement of the vine shoot, connecting the two main levels and leading to the upper panoramic area, offering a spectacular view of the Romagna hills.
The interior design reflects a sober and refined aesthetic: natural materials, fine finishes, and custom furnishings define an environment with strong sensory impact, capable of evoking the quality and elegance of the product stored here. The project was presented to the client through an immersive 3D video-rendering, able to provide a complete emotional experience, anticipating the spatial poetics of the final intervention.
This winery represents a perfect synthesis of architecture, landscape, and wine culture, a work in which the design gesture merges into the land, giving voice to the territory and discreetly celebrating the deep identity of Romagna Sangiovese.
