Palestra Legione del Savio

A comprehensive redevelopment intervention that transformed a former industrial warehouse, previously used as a tire maintenance workshop, into a modern multi-sport center dedicated to fitness and combat disciplines.
The project included a complete redistribution of internal spaces, aimed at accommodating three different activities – CrossFit, Calisthenics, and MMA – each with specific requirements in terms of layout, surfaces, and technical equipment. The concept was developed tailor-made for the client, aiming to maximize the potential of the original envelope while ensuring functional efficiency, flexibility of use, and a high-level user experience.
The design challenge concerned the coexistence of different disciplines within a single facility, without compromising the identity and autonomy of each area. For this reason, the layout was carefully planned, providing dedicated pathways, separate accesses, and a spatial arrangement capable of avoiding interference between activities.
The plant and lighting components were designed to enhance each area, ensuring visual comfort, safety, and optimized energy performance. The selected finishes recall a contemporary industrial aesthetic, capable of combining durability, practicality, and strong visual impact.
The project is completed by the construction of new changing rooms, a reception area, and service spaces, designed to accommodate a large capacity and manage user flow smoothly. The result is a dynamic, technically advanced environment, perfectly functional to the needs of a multifunctional sports center, destined to become a reference point in the territory.
