In the suggestive context of the “canalino” of Cervia, one of the most iconic and frequented places of the seaside town, an interior design and architectural project takes shape, capable of translating the client’s clear and decisive identity into physical space: creating a venue with intimate, welcoming, and characterful atmospheres, designed to elegantly accompany summer evenings and warmly welcome guests even in winter months.
The main challenge of this intervention was managing a limited interior surface, from which a functional layout for the operational needs of the venue had to be created, without compromising the perceptual quality of the spaces. Each environment was optimized according to principles of ergonomics and practicality, without giving up the expressive and material value of the original architecture.
A central element of the spatial narrative is the exposed brick vaulted ceiling, deliberately left as the material protagonist of the project, interacting with vibrant color tones and a targeted lighting study that defines and enhances the geometries and textures of the intervention. The lighting, designed to accompany the different moments of the day, contributes to creating an intimate and enveloping atmosphere, making the venue usable and attractive in every season.
The outdoor patio, conceived as a natural extension of the interior space, becomes the pulsating heart of the activity during the summer season, merging architecture and landscape into a convivial and dynamic dimension.
The intervention is completed by the careful study of custom furniture, with particular attention to the entrance counter, made with material textures and tailor-made details expressing the strong identity of the place. The result is a location of great appeal, distinguished by its authentic and contemporary character, perfectly integrated into the urban context and capable of providing a coherent and memorable sensory experience.
