A historic healthcare facility in the heart of Cesena, Casa di Cura San Lorenzino has for decades represented a reference point for citizens in medical assistance and specialist services. In a continuously evolving context, the facility initiated an important renewal intervention aimed at adapting the ward to current health regulations and responding to the growing demand for beds.
The project involved a complete redevelopment of the ward, with integrated architectural and plant design, conducted in close synergy among the various professional figures involved. The objective: to improve the patient experience and optimize the operational efficiency of healthcare staff, through functional, welcoming, and technologically advanced environments.
Great attention was paid to the ergonomic design of the spaces, the layout of pathways, and the perceptive quality of the patient rooms. The use of home automation technologies, applied for example to the automatic shading system of the windows, and the definition of a color palette designed to ensure visual comfort and psycho-physical well-being, are key elements of the project.
All environments were designed in full compliance with AUSL regulations, with finishes and materials meeting the required hygienic-sanitary standards. The result is a modern and functional ward, where care, technology, and architecture integrate to offer a space that puts the person at the center.
This intervention represents an important step forward in the facility’s renewal process, confirming Casa di Cura San Lorenzino as a healthcare reference point, attentive to service quality and design innovation.
